The Perfect Tips for the Perfect Vacation

Going on vacation is one of the best things in the world, you are going out to see amazing places, have fun and enjoy life.

However, before you can start your fun, you have a lot of hard work to do in preparation.

To help your vacation go as smoothly as possible, here are some great travel tips for everything from booking your flight to packing your bags.

Some of these tips saved me a lot of misery during my travels, and I'm sure they will help you too.

If you are traveling to another country, call your credit or debit card company before you go.

Make sure you are authorized to make purchases with foreign currency so that your card won't be suspended for suspicious activity.

There's nothing worse than being stuck without money abroad.

If you are going to go on a long flight or a long drive it's a good idea to go for a short run (or other forms of exercising) before leaving.

This will reduce your stress and you’ll have an easier time falling asleep if you want to.

There may not be any upgrades available, but it’s worth a shot to ask the ground crew if you feel pampering yourself and don’t mind paying a bit extra.

Just practice at home first, you don’t want to send balls wandering through the cabin.

When you pack your shoes, place them in a shower cap.

This will not only keep them from moving around, but also make sure they won't get any of your other clothes dirty.

If you are looking on the internet for flight tickets, make sure to set your internet browser on private or incognito mod.

Travel sites often track visits and will increase the price based on the search history kept on your browser, browsing in this mode will prevent them from accessing this information.

To enable private mod, press Ctrl+Shift+P on Internet Explorer/Mozilla Firefox and Ctrl+Shift+N on Google Chrome.

If you want to have a bottle of water with you on your flight or before it, just bring an empty water bottle in your handbag.

After you are done with security you can fill it with water.

Instead of folding your cloths in your suitcase try rolling them.

This will save space and reduce wrinkles.

It's always a good idea to have some bobby pins with you when you travel.

Keep them in a Tic Tac container to make sure they don’t get lost.

If you forget the wall plug-in for your phone but you still have a USB charger, check the back of your hotel TV.

Most modern televisions have a USB port that can charge your phone when they are turned on.

Visitors often forget their chargers and the hotel shouldn’t have any problem lending you one for your stay.

Place a dryer sheet (fabric softener) in your suitcase to keep your clothes smelling fresh.

If you know you are going to be away from a place with electricity for a long time, buy a portable phone charger.

It will help you keep your car clean and your food available.

To help you remember where you parked or where your hotel is, take a picture of it, or place a marker on your map app.

Even if your phone is in the bag or if you have no intention of going in the water, there is always a risk you might get water on you.

Take a pot holder with you and use it as a case for your flat iron.

This way you can store it while it’s still warm and you can move along with your plans with no need to wait.

A binder clip is a great way to protect shaving razors when traveling.

Scan your passport, ID, flight information and other important documents before you leave your house.

Send the scanned files to your Email so you will a digital copy in the event of loss or theft.

If you want to have a small amount of concealer or lotion during a day's trip, use a contact lenses case.

It's much smaller and lighter than bringing a whole bottle you don’t need.

If there is no TV in the back seat in front of you during your flight, put your phone in a plastic bag and hook it to the back of the tray table.

You can also use a hair clip and attach it to the tray holder.

To quickly find information about your flight status, you can google its airline name and flight number.

Flight codes look this: DL 081, AC 029 etc.

For a quick getaway at baggage claim, invest in a sturdy and eye-catching suitcase, or a colorful feature so it so it will be easier to spot.
