I think that mothers are the closest anyone can ever come to being God. Oh, the things they do for us. They’re the epitome of strength and grace. They tirelessly work hard to make us good human beings. It’s an understatement to say that mothers can never be replaced.
1. They know what is going on with you, even though you’re miles away from them
One phone call, and they know what’s up.
2. They make sure you get the right food to eat
She knows the balance between healthy and junk.
3. Have you been annoyed with babies crying constantly in buses and flights? Imagine having to bear that all the livelong day
Can’t? Well. Mothers can.
4. Giving birth to you? Yeah. That was pretty miraculous
And it is a true testament to how strong mothers can be.
5. They always rooted for you, and always persisted on you following your dream
Look where you are now.
6. She will yell at you when you make a mistake
But she’ll never let anyone else point fingers at you.
7. She always gives you good advice
She knows exactly what to say, and when to say it.
8. She strives to be a good host every time your friends come over
Making them food, chatting them up, and making sure they’re comfortable.
9. You get your cooking skills from her
Watching her in the kitchen every day is a lesson for you.
10. She takes care of you when you’re sick
The soup, the blankets, the hugs…it’s all her.
11. She always acts like the messenger between you and your father
If you’ve made a mistake that you’re too scared to talk to your dad about, your mum handles it all.
12. Lastly, her love is unconditional
Goes without saying.
She’s a strict disciplinarian, and she juggles it with being your best friend. So much so, that she’s probably also the reason why your dad is what he is today! Though it might not be mother’s day today, or it might not be coming anytime soon, there is no wrong time to tell your mother how much she means to you.
Pick up that phone and talk to her today, even if it’s for a few minutes. Because for her, that is a sign of how wonderfully she’s raised you. And you know she’s done a great job.
